2010 was a very exciting year, primarily because of my campaign run for St. Lucie County School Board. From getting the 1,700 candidate petition signatures needed to standing at the voting precincts during elections---all of the people who supported me were just wonderful. We fought a great fight! There were over six tough candidates for the District 3 seat, and the campaign was at times exhaustive and stressful.
But we made it to the runoff after the Primary Election. I did not win the General Election, and in retrospect have recognized some important factors that probably resulted in that. Nevertheless, so many valuable relationships were created.
I'm taking an opportunity on my blog to thank them all. If I could, I would give each a huge hug. Thank you so much for believing in me.
Sign-waving, petition signatures, public forums, and signs everywhere---if any of you are interesting in running for public office, check with me. I've got lots of advice for a St. Lucie County public seat run! Oh, if I only had this information beforehand ((sigh)).
